Orientalist comment of the day

It’s just they way they are, maybe it’s in their genes; proud descendants of warrior tribes that roamed rugged terrains never knowing whether danger or prosperity lay ahead. They had to win the moment because it could be their last.

Harsha Bhogle, in his column for the Indian Express. Someone should tell him that 8 out of the 11 who beat Sri Lanka are born in Punjab, leaving only 3 who are "proud descendants of warrior tribes".
