I know our loyal 5 readers can't wait to hear from me on the Mumbai blasts, but I'll tackle those questions this evening. For now, a quick post on the news that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has implemented a cell phone jamming system, designed to halt the industry that is cell phone theft. According to the CPLC, some 40000 phones were stolen in Karachi this year, up to September. If my math is correct, that's something like 150 phones a day. Hopefully, this will be a big step towards stopping this menace. I know people have been pushing for this for a long time now, but better late than never.
