Indecipherable Headline Of The Day

Maybe I'm getting old (I have, after all, recently discovered at least three white hairs just above my ears), but this Daily Times headline makes no sense to me whatsoever. Perhaps you guys can help.
Pakistan a ticking bomb or does it just have any problem?

The first paragraph isn't too much more helpful, simply removing the question mark from the sentence in question.
Western investors that have poured billions into Pakistan must be wondering: Is the country a ticking bomb or does it just have any problem.

My humble suggestion to the Daily Times folk is that they stick to the PPP sycophantism. It's the only time they sound remotely coherent.

I read the ticking bomb story and was about to post about it. The story has been borrowed entirely from a Forbes article and then summarised in a terrible fashion by a Daily Times hack who has not even bothered to mention his source. Its called Plagiarism.

Here's the Forbes Article, titled "Caught in the Crossfire"

http://www.forbes.com/global/2008/0128/020.html

The summary is as follows:
"Western investors that have poured billions into Pakistan must be wondering: Is the country a ticking bomb or does it just have a p.r. problem?"

I've just compared the two stories side by side and can't support the claim that the Daily Times summarised the Forbes article. They've rephrased a few bits most notably the last line of the second paragraph in the Daily Times story appears after paragraph 6 in the Forbes article (where it makes much more sense). They've amended tid bits else where.

I was of the opinion that in the "Monitor" section a newspaper is supposed to give a brief account of articles in other newspapers and magazines, and not lift an entire story?

This is a shame as Daily Times has improved, especially in its coverage of local news.
