Optimism On Indo-Pak Relations

I know most of you are probably consumed by the recent downturn in Indo-Pak relations marked by India accusing Pakistan of sponsoring an attack on its embassy in Kabul, Pakistan issuing the inevitable denial and promise to investigate, and India's Foreign Secretary saying relations are at their worst point since the beginning of the detente in 2004. I think, however, that that is to adopt a very myopic view of things. Over the long run, as The Onion reports below, the shifts in tectonic plates below the earth's surface guarantee a peaceful and lasting solution to all disputes.

Unfortunately for Pakistan, I believe the shifts in tectonic plates are actually pushing India closer... thus it appears that the situation has reached a boiling point.
