Quote Of The Day
Here's Fabio Capello on Ibra:
Alrighty then. How many other sports managers/coaches would drop references like that? Can you imagine Javed Miandad saying "Shoaib Akhtar's career is more emblematic of the Shakespearean protagonist's precipitous rise and fall than the mundane depression marked by Kundera's"?
Anyway, speaking of Rothko, here's a funny post on India Uncut. Also, I can't wait for this Wednesday. It's going to be awesome.
When Zlatan arrived in Italy he was a rough diamond. But now he is very complete, the best striker in the world and impossible to mark inside the penalty area. I know comparing Van Basten to Ibrahimovic is like comparing Picasso to Rothko, but I believe that because of his power and his technique Zlatan will become stronger than Marco.

Speaking of Miandad's accent/intonation, this is one of the best impressions of Miandad I've ever seen/heard (don't view it with family around):

OOh.Emm.Jeee
hahahahhahahaahah...
...esp the stuff he's saying to Inzi, when he's doin the push-ups...
I think the whole country would be saying that right before he would get run out...
I agree with Don Capello. I don't agree with your trying to compare him with Miandad crossed with Sir Peregrine Worsthorne.
That IS if you were trying to compare him in the way I thought you were trying to compare him.
:-|
P.S. Who the fucks Rothko?
R Malik:
Haha no, I wasn't trying to compare him to Miandad. In fact, I was pointing out how strange and impressive it is for a manager/coach to be dropping references like that.
Google Rothko.
