Asif Zardari: Sonia Gandhi Without The "Staying In The Background" Bit
Man, I love Pakistani politics. Please read this report in The News, where we're told Asif Zardari, after looking at all and sundry for the candidate for Prime Minister, has settled on, uh, himself. What a Cheney-esque move. Just brilliant. Poor Amin Fahim can only say, no doubt with a glum expression all over his face, that "I am also not making any comment on this development, as Asif Zardari is not a member of the parliament." Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Did I mention hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha?
This is the third major policy shift in the stance of Asif Ali Zardari during the last 60 days. First, he had announced Amin Fahim as the prime minister at Naudero, then he changed his mind and started talking about a prime minister from the Punjab, after backing Yousaf Raza Gillani, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Ahmed Mukhtar.
Now, finally he is believed to have decided to become the candidate for the top slot, after quietly pitching the top four leaders against each other. These four otherwise shrewd politicians were smartly made to fight each other so that instead of getting united against him at any stage, none of them could pose any challenge for him at the time of the decision of the prime ministership.
Did I mention hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha?

While your coverage of Pakistani politics is great, I think you should expand your horizons to covering Indian politics as well.
considering the Pak is going to get annexed in a few years anyway, you may as well get a headstart...
never. they may take our lives, but they'll never take....OUR FREEDOM!!!
anyway, there was a time when i did cover ("cover" being used very loosely) stuff that happened in india but since last year, there's just been too much going on in pakistan for me to divide my attention. maybe if/when things settle down a bit.
