Okay, explain something to me:
Apparently Lawson is on a $30,000 per month contract. If they terminate his contract they'll have to pay him 3 months salary i.e 90 grand or as Ijaz saab put it, ''a huge financial loss.''
By letting him complete his contract (which expires in April, I believe) they'll have to pay him for another 6 months i.e $180,000.
Am I missing something here?

If they fired him now and hired someone else, then they'd be paying two coaches for a period of three months.
I'm sure this ploy is aimed at getting him to resign. I'd be willing to bet that if he were to resign, his contract would have nothing about being paid.

If they fire him and hire a local coach instead, it would be at a fraction of the cost and might just end up saving them money. More importantly, Butt (is he related to you?) wouldn't be stuck with a "useless" coach.

Again, I think the point of saying this stuff is to get him to resign. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. But from their perspective, it's worth a shot.
