Breaking News: Suicide Blast in Islamabad
There was a suicide blast at a Frontier Corps check post near Jinnah Supermarket in F/7. So far, one person has been killed and 15 injured. It appears that there was a group of gunmen accompanying the bomber, and they seem to have escaped.
This comes just days after the government warned that Islamabad and Lahore were going to be targeted.
I, along with a lot of our readers I suspect, had family and friends living in F/7. We pray for their safety and well-being.

The prominence of the location cannot be ignored.
As I write that, GEO is reporting that there has been a bomb blast at an imambargah in Chakwal. 30 people have reportedly died.
The death toll has been scaled down to 22 by Geo, Aaj still reports 30 dead and 150 injured.
Upto 2000 people were attending the annual majlis-e-aza when the suicide bomber struck.
Authorities in Chakwal have appealed to citizens to donate blood and life saving drugs, as they are running short of supplies. Geo reports that a thousand people have turned up at the hospital to donate blood.
It appears that the majority of the dead were security forces' personnel who were guarding the entrance of the imambargah.
Geo now states that 200 are injured, 22 are confirmed dead but reports suggest that 35 people have died.
The imambargah is in the heart of Chakwal.

it's nice to see Ayaz Amir finally blaming the Taliban for something. I guess everyone comes to their senses when their hometown is attacked.
I beleive it's about time we decide who our enemies are. The US/NATOetc or the Pakistani Taliban?

Hmm, so muslims could do this to non muslims? Or they could do this to other muslims outside a mosque and that would be ok? Does being a muslim automatically qualify a person to have sound judgement? Foreign conspiracy? Really, to achieve what? None bar those that find support in pakistani fundamentalists stand to gain from this.
Coming out of the state of denial would be the first step to fix things my friend. Something seriously is wrong with rising Islamofascism in afpak, and it's only from within that the cancer can be cured.

I don't think its time for self realization, that will not happen, because that takes a lot of open discussion on street including so called common man, as what he wants, and that is something that Taliban wants to ban and create confusion, disperse people and their unified views against an issue.
Look at SWAT, that's the laboratory of future Pakistan, some kind of superficial tie between Taliban and Govt. keeping Afghan in control..People will be finally tired and all the parties will say OKAY lets talk and share the power.. It has nothing to do with Islam, its all about Taliban movement asking us to payback what they deserve..

How much of a great nation pakistan would be if it only had the bloggers of this blog as its citizens.
By the way though i consider this absurd , it is still worth noting that there are theories floating around saying that pakistan will fall in six months.
